Studie Bijdehand
Studie Bijdehand is a Dutch platform born in Rotterdam in 2009, started by two entrepreneurship students who wanted to make booklist management less painful for educators. What began as a side project quietly grew into a go-to resource for Dutch higher education. Today, the platform serves two distinct audiences: course instructors who need to create custom study materials, and students looking for a one-stop shop for study essentials.

Our mission
Our mission for Studie Bijdehand was to redesign their website and bring it into a modern, fully responsive Odoo environment, while building a strong visual identity that feels colorful, fun, and rooted in the world of students and education.
The project kicked off with a wireframing and design phase to define the structure and overall look and feel of the platform before moving into development. At the heart of it was the creation of a brand new custom Odoo module: the Booklist. Built from scratch, it lets instructors create curated material lists tied to specific courses and curricula, which students can then browse and purchase from in one click. A second phase took it further by giving instructors direct access to manage and update their lists themselves.
The result is a scalable, easy-to-manage platform built to support Studie Bijdehand's continued growth across Dutch higher education.

The Booklist model
A fully custom model built in Odoo, the Booklist pulls directly from the product database to let instructors build complete lists of books and study materials for a specific year and curriculum, whether for a university, hogeschool, or any other higher education institution. When logged in as an instructor, a list can be assigned to a course and updated at any time to reflect changing needs.
On the student side, the flow is just as simple: search by institution, faculty, and course and instantly access the full list of materials needed for the year.

E-commerce
Product pages were redesigned to better serve students at every step of their purchase. Key study material details, including ISBN, edition, and number of pages, are now pulled dynamically from the product record, giving students everything they need at a glance. Estimated delivery timing was also added directly to the page, so students can plan their orders with confidence.
